The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral
Sciences provides training for mental health specialists and other healthcare providers in order to create
more access points to effective mental health care.
Our training programs support our mission of improving the health of the public,
and are in line with Washington State’s plan to fully integrate care for mental
health, substance use and physical health by the year 2020.
Our newest training is All Patients Safe, a suicide prevention training program that meets Washington State's licensure requirements for health care providers to assist in reducing suicide through improved trainings.
Please refer to our Continuous Professional Development page for other training opportunities while we build out this section.
