Libraries are lists that contain documents. They contain extra features that other lists do not have, such as version control and check out and check in options. Document libraries contain files such as Microsoft Office Word files and Microsoft Office Excel files. Picture libraries contain images that can be viewed as thumbnails. Form libraries store InfoPath forms, and therefore, allow you to fill out forms and store and merge data.
